Summary of Duties:

  • The Senior Technical Learning Specialist will be responsible for developing and facilitating leadership development programs
  • Develops a variety of instructor-led, online, webinar, and blended learning solutions to provide effective learning transfer and improve on-the-job performance
  • Provides technical guidance relative to the coordination, administration, coaching, analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation of training activities
  • Functions as team/project leader or mentor for technical learning specialists and instructors across KCNSC
  • Operates as primary facilitator for elective Leadership Development courses Plans, executes, and facilitates employee development programs and resources
  • Instructor Certification Program owner and facilitator
  • Schedules and facilitates quarterly Instructor forums, providing Instructors with valuable information and support related to scheduling and facilitating courses, awarding credit, and additional instructor responsibilities
  • Consults with subject matter experts to analyze, design, develop, implement, and evaluate courses and produce related documentation
  • Guides the use of performance-based training methods and performance support systems where applicable
  • Leads analysis, design, development, implementation, delivery, and evaluation; guides the use of performance-based training methods where applicable; and designs, develops, and instructs appropriate train-the-trainer and on-the-job training programs
  • Assures conformance with training policies and procedures regarding the established approval system, budgets, and trainer qualification
  • Conducts activities in a safe and healthy manner and work in accordance with established HS&E requirements to ensure the protection of employees, the public, and the environment.  Takes actions necessary to ""stop"" work when and unsafe condition or action is identified.
  • May perform other duties as required
