What are the responsibilities and job description for the Server/Waiter position at Hong Kong Restaurant?
Duties:
- Greet and interact with guests in a friendly and professional manner
- Take food and drink orders accurately and efficiently
- Deliver orders to tables in a timely manner
- Provide excellent customer service and address any guest concerns or requests
- Handle cash transactions and operate a cash register
- Collaborate with the kitchen staff to ensure accurate and timely order delivery
- Assist with bussing tables and maintaining a clean dining area
- Follow sanitation guidelines to ensure a safe and clean environment
Skills:
- Strong guest relations skills with the ability to provide exceptional customer service
- Proficient in cash handling and operating a cash register
- Basic math skills for order taking, bill calculation, and making change
- Knowledge of food and beverage menus to assist guests with menu selections
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with guests and team members
- Strong multitasking abilities to handle multiple tables and tasks simultaneously
- Hospitality mindset with a focus on creating a positive dining experience for guests
Note: Previous experience as a server or in the hospitality industry is preferred but not required. Training will be provided.
