Overall Purpose:
Responsible for providing a full range of technical support for technology related assets, procedures and systems throughout the enterprise. Assists with delivery of applications, network, security, systems, data backup and storage functions. Participates in project research, analysis, documentation and reporting. Administers the general operations and services of the department within established policies, guidelines and procedures. Develops and maintains high quality interdepartmental service culture that provides expertise and supports the company goals. Ensures compliance with applicable laws, regulations, regulatory requirements and credit union policies and procedures, including but not limited to those related to Anti-Money Laundering laws and regulations, Bank Secrecy Act and USA PATRIOT Act.
Communicates to management issues or situations that may be detrimental to the Financial Health and Reputation of the credit union. Supports decisions of the Board of Directors, Executives and Management, and helps promote the organizational and strategic plans. Provides and practices Excellence in Service.

A. __% * 1. Assists with the continuity of computer services by providing necessary technical support and project coordination as determined by the company goals, budget and quality standards.
Assists with the planning, design, implementing, monitoring and closure of projects.
Communicates and supports department plans, policies, standards, procedures and best practices, including security policies, procedures and measures.

2. Provides system analysis, documentation and administration processes for workstations and network systems. Verifies that existing system configurations adhere to established standards or guidelines. Maintains and tests all hardware and software applications. Communicates status and changes as needed.

3. Ensures security and integrity of data, network administration and backup systems. Monitors performance and recommends upgrades, updates and software patches ensuring systems are performing optimally and not compromised. Assists with implementing audit result changes and maintains documentation of system audits and security issues.

B. __% * 1. With management guidance, implements and monitors internal controls and testing methods and procedures for the credit union’s core system and internal network, in compliance with applicable laws, regulatory requirements, and credit union policies and procedures. Monitors the testing environments and processes and researches and recommends improvements, ensuring continuous risk assessments, for systems and projects.

2. Installs and uninstalls software and hardware systems, including equipment, anti-virus programs, updates, and other tools as needed. Monitors and troubleshoots malware and virus issues within workstations and credit union network. Repairs and maintains servers, computers and other technology equipment.

C. __% * 1. Establish and maintain effective professional working relationships with staff and every level of management and volunteers providing updates as needed. Communicates objectives and coordinates with resources outside of the IT department. Interprets verbal and written request from user departments.

2. Assists with training of staff in technology and coordinates with Human Resources on technical training programs, including, but not limited to, computer setup, security and compliance guidelines, and internal programs, for new hires and staff development. Documents technical computing and end user procedures.

3. Keeps current of the latest developments in technology including programs, security and compliance. Participates in educational seminars, demonstrations, internal and external meetings.

D. __% * 1. Monitors vendor relationships and ensures vendor delivers products and service timely and meets contractual commitments. Communicates vendor performance and service level expectations. Represents the company when communicating with vendors. Contacts vendors for documentation as needed.

2. Manages the inventory of hardware, software, IT services and other logistical items, including methods to efficiently reuse existing components.

E. 5% Performs all other miscellaneous duties and responsibilities.

Physical Demands: Sitting and typing for continuous periods up to four (4) hours. Use of vision, hearing, speech, and working with hands. Moving and lifting up to 50 pounds. Must be able to provide own transportation or to operate a vehicle with a valid driver’s license, and ability to commute and arrive at intended destination in a timely manner and/or as required. Must be able to work flexible hours to include evenings, weekends, and holidays as necessary. Government issued identification required for security entry purposes.
Working Condition: Air-conditioned office. Requires use of a personal computer and other standard office equipment (typewriter, fax, copier, calculator, telephone and postage meter).

Minimum Requirements:

Education: Two (2) to four (4) years post-secondary education in Computer Science or related program from an accredited educational institution. Higher education requirements for senior level position.

Associate: with 1-3 years progressive Information Technology and electronic data operations experience preferred. Alternate experience includes high school diploma, GED, or similar approved diploma program i.e. CBCDSP and 4-5 years of progressive Information Technology experience.

Experience: Developing Information Technology experience in IT initiatives and support, including maintenance and troubleshooting technical issues, management of technology related assets, network and application management and proactively maintaining security and data storage systems. Knowledge of banking products and services and experience with financial institution regulations such as anti- money laundering, Bank Secrecy Act and applicable laws and regulatory requirements preferred.

Technical: Demonstrated proficiency using personal computers, including Microsoft Office software, including, Outlook, Internet Explorer, Word and Excel. Developing knowledge and experience in technology related equipment and software, troubleshooting, researching and testing technical issues. Ability to develop usage of credit union systems. Developing experience with managing internal controls and enterprise risk management.

Developing knowledge and experience of systems and network and application management, infrastructure and equipment maintenance, security concepts, PC hardware and software troubleshooting, and maintaining databases. Knowledge in Microsoft operating systems, email services, telephone administration and VMware, Cisco networking technologies, management of multiple servers and AV equipment preferred.

Other: Relevant knowledge or experience building strong working relationships and partnerships across the organization with a collaborative and consultative approach. Increasing ability to identify problems, analyze alternatives, implement solutions and establish internal controls. Demonstrated attention to detail and organization to prioritize and meet deadlines efficiently. Good communication skills, including verbal, written and interpersonal, to all levels of staff and vendors. Excellent customer service and team skills. Must demonstrate commitment, dependability and respect for other employees.
