About this Role:
We are seeking a Substitute Teacher Assistant to support our teaching staff in ensuring the safety and well-being of students. This role involves supervising students in various settings and performing supportive tasks outside of student instruction.
Main Duties:
- Supervise students in different environments, including classrooms, hallways, and playgrounds.
- Monitor and mediate student disputes, maintaining order and determining appropriate redirection according to district policy.
- Assist with setting up the cafeteria for meal services and cleaning up spills.
- Perform supportive tasks for classroom teachers, such as correcting daily work and recording grades.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or Equivalent.
- Valid Washington State Driver's License.
- Criminal Justice/Fingerprint Clearance.
- Previous experience in student supervision, working with diverse populations of students (preferred).
