JOB SUMMARY
Under the direction of the Plant Manager, responsible for managing all logistics operations in the facility including, but not limited to shipping, receiving, inventory, forklifts and warehouse organization.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

- Observe and enforce all Company policies and procedures.
- Manage all movement, storage, and distribution of materials & product in the Chicago Pack Services facility
- Ensure overall site inventory accuracy and serve as the subject matter expert for both WMS systems (Amtech & JD Edwards).
- Manage all shipping & receiving employees & procedures. Ensure on-time deliveries, optimal loading / unloading turnaround times, and accurate shipments. Back up Shipping & Receiving Clerks as needed.
- Responsible for effective space utilization. Develop space capacity forecast reports and escalate space constraints to management team & customers as required.
- Ensure a culture of teamwork & camaraderie is in place with all warehouse personnel. Provide coaching, motivation, and efforts to promote a positive work environment.
- Maintain housekeeping and organization for all warehouse areas. Maintain a 5S program & execute an audit schedule to ensure an organized, clean warehouse environment
- Work closely with all plant departments to maintain open communications and facilitate optimal operational flow.
- Communicate with all outside 3rd party logistics teams to ensure proper information flow and a high level of customer service.
- Execute and / or supervise all receiving and shipment transactional requirements such as incoming customer receipts. Ensure these are posted throughout the day within all internal & customers systems.
- Ensure creation of shipments and print all shipping paperwork required in customer systems and retailer TMS systems.
- Maintain all shipping and receiving records to include BOLs and direct shipment trackers daily. Perform root cause analysis or traceability research as required.
- Lead and / or Participate in all physical inventories and ensure an effective cycle counting process is in place.
- Perform all tasks assigned by Plant Manager.
- Collaborate with on-site Staffing Agency leadership to direct forklift driver activities & fluctuate seasonal forklift driver needs.
