Hood Distribution established in 1899, is a wholesale distributor of hardwood lumber & plywood as well as related specialty products. We currently have 24 locations, providing distribution into the eastern US as well as the Caribbean markets. Our primary customers turn our products into something special.
If you are a self-motivated, highly organized individual that possesses a passion for brand-specific product promotion, our role as a Product Manager operating out of our Nashville, TN location is right for you. The primary objective for this position is to manage specific product groups through the supply chain.

Key Responsibilities:
• Work closely with the sales/design teams, customers and vendors to manage inventory levels.
• Purchase all stock items within specific product groups.
• Assist sales & design team with special orders.
• Process incoming orders.
• Manage and assist sales team with pricing within specific product groups.
• Follow orders completely through the process to assure on time deliveries to the customers.
• Manage vendor rebate programs within specific product groups.
• Assist the sales and design team in introducing Hood Distribution product lines and build brand awareness.
• Maintain and increase professional and technical knowledge by reviewing product literature, manuals, and manufacturer bulletins, as well as attending vendor/ manufacturer seminars whenever available.
• Assist sales and design team with technical support.
• Help coordinate freight within specific product groups.
• Analyze client product needs, growth patterns, and market trends.
• Multitask and prioritize work through effective time management.
• Provide technical assistance and cross training to others across the organization.

Education and Experience :
• Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Marketing, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or similar discipline.
• Background in construction materials preferred.
• 3-5 years’ experience preferred
• Strong understanding of Microsoft Word, Excel, etc.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
