Hood Distribution, established in 1899, is a wholesale distributor of hardwood lumber & plywood as well as related specialty products. We currently have twenty-four locations, providing distribution into the eastern US as well as the Caribbean markets. Our primary customers turn our products into something special. We are looking for a Warehouse Lead to join our growing team in Cleveland, OH.
The job of a Warehouse Lead is to provide leadership, guidance, and training to the warehouse and driver staff of the Cabinet Shop. The Warehouse Lead reports to the Warehouse Manager.
Key Responsibilities:
The job of a Warehouse Lead is to provide leadership, guidance, and training to the warehouse and driver staff of the Cabinet Shop. The Warehouse Lead reports to the Warehouse Manager.
Key Responsibilities:
• Responsibilities include but not limited to:
• Assist with hiring & training employees
• Assist Warehouse Manager with Coordination of inbound Freight
• Assist Warehouse Manager in Scheduling deliveries and transfers
• Monitor and oversee daily warehouse procedures and productivity to ensure all safety requirements are being followed
• Monitor and oversee driver procedures and activity
• Assist Warehouse Manager in managing a staff of warehouse and drivers on varying shifts; including Training, Performance Reviews, and Disciplinary Processes
• Maintain a fleet of vehicles and forklifts to include all PM and all other service issues
• Participate in the Management Safety Committee
• Financial responsibilities include deposits, reconciliations, and monthly reporting

• Prior Warehouse Supervisions Experience
• RF Scanner Experience
• Prior experience in Supervising a staff to include Hiring and Terminations
• Shipping and Receiving experience
• Fleet Management experience
• Operational Safety experience
