Job Summary
The Maintenance Director will oversee all aspects of the maintenance department, ensuring the facility's equipment and systems are operating efficiently and safely. The Maintenance Director is also the Environmental Services Manager.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement maintenance procedures, including preventive maintenance schedules
- Manage maintenance staff, providing guidance and support
-Manage Laundry and Housekeeping Staff
- Coordinate with external vendors for specialized repairs or projects
- Monitor equipment performance and address any issues promptly
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and expenses
- Maintain compliance with Life Safety codes and regulations.
Skills
- Strong project management skills to plan and execute maintenance projects effectively
- Proficiency in Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) for streamlined maintenance operations
- Knowledge of maintenance management principles to optimize department performance
- Ability to read and interpret schematics for troubleshooting and repairs
- Proficient in English for clear communication with team members and vendors
- Familiarity with logic controllers for equipment operation and troubleshooting
- Mechanical knowledge to understand and maintain various machinery types
- Leadership skills to motivate and guide the maintenance team effectively
- Understanding of high voltage systems for safe handling and maintenance
