About the role
Hook Hall is actively seeking VIP Bottle Servers to join our crew. This role is comprised of a combination of skills, blending hospitality, bartending, and service. This role is responsible for serving customers and representing Hook Hall at our affiliated events that cater to our unique brands. Our Bottle Servers embody an All Hands In approach and are ready to assist in various capacities throughout the venue. It is our goal to continually host world-class events, big and small, throughout the year. It is the role of the Bottle Servers to provide an unparalleled VIP experience through each event. What you'll do
Hospitality
- Greeting VIP guests as soon as they walk through the door
- Providing guests with accurate wait time estimates during busy periods
- Maintaining a neat, organized front-of-house environment
- Showing guests to their designated area and explaining our policies & procedures
- Keeping guests happy and handling complaints appropriately
- Building rapport with our guests and promoters
- Brainstorming ideas to enhance the guest experience
Bartending and Service
- Assisting with opening/closing tasks and side work
- Maintaining safety and food & food and beverage quality standards
- Inspects the bar prior to opening to ensure that adequate supplies are available.
- Ensures member accounts are properly billed through the Point of Sale System (POS)
- Reports complaints to a manager as soon as they occur.
- Maintains and cleans bar area and equipment.
- Attends staff meetings including pre-shift sessions as required.
- Carefully follows all laws and Hook Hall policies and procedures regarding alcoholic beverage service and informs manager if continued service to a member or guest is in question.
- Serves drinks to members and guests seated at lounge tables.
- Continually practices beverage and revenue control procedures.

- Ability to operate point-of-sales systems
- Keen understanding that a positive guest experience is imperative to success
- Well-organized with ability to take and place food and beverage orders accurately
- Ability to stand and/or walk for prolonged periods of time
- Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds for short periods of time
Compensation
- $100 per day 10% commission on table sales
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $25.00 - $75.00 per hour
