We are looking for an Assistant Manager to oversee all staff and restaurant operations. Assistant Manager responsibilities include training staff, managing people and establishing policies. To be successful in this role, you should be a thoughtful leader and have a passion for the restaurant industry. Must be computer literate and capable of embracing new technologies that increase efficiencies in the restaurant. Must be the type of manager that will work side by side with the staff, not just act as a supervisor.
Responsibilities
- Oversee day-to-day operations
- Set policies and processes
- Ensure employees work productively and develop professionally
- Oversee recruitment and training of new employees
- Evaluate and improve operations and financial performance
- Ensure staff follows health and safety regulations
- Provide solutions to issues (e.g. profit decline, employee conflicts, loss of business to competitors)
Skills
- Proven experience in a Manager setting
- Sommelier experience desired but not necessary
- Knowledge of business process and functions.
- Excellent ability to manage people
- High level of customer service
- Excellent communication skills
- Outstanding organizational and leadership skills
- Problem-solving aptitude
- Calming factor in high stress situations
- Competent with Microsoft Office Suite
