General Summary :
Responsible for providing technical and administrative support for computer systems, peripheral hardware, and cybersecurity initiatives. Provide end user technical support and problem resolution. Assists the Network / Systems Administrator with all aspects of network administration. Responsible for providing technical and administrative support to ensure hardware and software operations run effectively within computer network.
Principal Accountabilities :
- Performs microcomputer system setup, software installation and configuration, and peripheral equipment installation and integration.
- Install new and upgraded hardware and software as required. Monitors equipment performance, documents problems, schedules and completes hardware maintenance tasks as required, etc.
- Conducts training and provides application software and peripheral hardware troubleshooting to end-users.
- Assists with hardware and software stewardship and administration.
- Performs routine system backups and data recovery.
- Assists the Network / Systems Administrator in all aspects of network administration (user setup, security and access, standards, and procedures).
- Manages and coordinates administrative and technical procedures in the absence of the Network / Systems Administrator.
- Performs other duties / special projects as assigned.
