About the Role
The Vice President of Mortgage Operations will lead a team responsible for delivering top-tier mortgage services to internal and external stakeholders. This includes developing strategic initiatives to drive efficiency, ensuring smooth transactions, and maintaining compliance with industry standards.
This role requires strong leadership and management skills, as well as extensive knowledge of secondary-market programs and state and federal lending laws and regulations.
The successful candidate will monitor workflows and queues to ensure service levels are met, develop process improvements, and actively seek methods to streamline business processes.
- Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute strategies for mortgage fulfillment, ensuring alignment with the credit union's overall mission and objectives.
- Oversight of all operational mortgage departments, including underwriting, processing, closing, funding, and servicing.
- Continuously identify and implement strategies to optimize the mortgage lending process, improve efficiency, quality, and drive speed and capacity across all mortgage products.
