JOB DESCRIPTION
JOB TITLE: CNP Supervisor
REPORTS TO: Director of CNP
JOB GOAL: To assist in the supervision and efficient operation of the Child Nutrition Program
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in Nutrition/Dietetics, Hospitality Management, Business, or a related field
- Two (2) years of supervisory experience in food service
- NRA ServSafe Food Protection Manager Certified
- Knowledge and understanding of federal/state laws pertaining to the National School Lunch Program
- Excellent organizational, time-management, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to proficiently use current technology to communicate, to manage data, and to produce/submit required reports, correspondence, and/or financial information
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Strong interpersonal skills, including oral and written communication skills
- Ability to establish credibility with numerous constituents, effectively manage sensitive personnel issues, and effectively work with others
- Ability to deal with confidential and sensitive information in a professional manner
- Ability to meet suitability criteria under the Alabama Child Protection Act of 1999 and Act No. 2002-457
- Such alternatives to the above qualifications as state, federal, and local law and the Board may require
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Demonstrates support for and clearly articulates the District’s vision, mission, goals, and priorities
- Demonstrates support for the school system and its vision, mission, goals, and priorities
- Oversees the day-to-day operations of a child nutrition program (CNP), ensuring efficient food production, distribution, and compliance with all health and safety regulations while managing staff and maintaining quality standards within the cafeteria setting
- Assists the CNP Director in developing and implementing professional development for CNP employees
- Assists with school site CNP Audits
- Assists CNP Director with applicant interviews
- Participates in state and local in-service training to maintain and grow in professional proficiency
- Adheres to local Board policies, administrative procedures, and other like directives, as well as state, federal, and local laws
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned by the Director
