We are THE Premier Professional Pet Sitting Company servicing the Connecticut Shoreline and surrounding towns.
We are looking for Part Time Dog Walkers & Pet Sitters for dogs, cats, small pets, chickens, reptiles and small birds. AND WEEKEND SHIFT AS WELL.
PART TIME:
Some Weekends, if working weekdays Holidays Mandatory with some rotation
HHW provides paid training with continued support and mentoring with opportunities to move into leadership positions from within.
We require our Dog Walker & Pet & Cat Sitting staff to live in the same town or neighboring towns to limit drive time between visits. Within a 5 to 15 mile radius with some exceptions.
PET SITTER & DOG WALKER & CAT SITTERS RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Daily professional communication with clients and management via text, email & phone through our scheduling program.
- Provide Premier C.A.R.E. for all types and sizes of dogs, cats, house pets and small livestock.
- Safely and securely enter & exit clients' homes via a garage door, keyless or keyed entry including disarming and arming security systems as needed.
- Service clients in all weather conditions and in every season, with flexibility for them and some flexibility for staff.
- Be local to the communities being served.
- Be available on Holidays and some Holiday Weekends as needed, as well as at least 1-2 weekends a month sometimes more (Typically 1 weekend day in most cases, sometimes not at all.) Unless we have a weekender on staff, then almost never.
- Provide detailed notes with pictures/videos to clients and management.
- Work well independently as well as a Pack-Team member.
- Keep clients homes and pet areas clean & tidy.
- PET SITTERS will need to be available for traveling clients and will visit the same household 3 to 4 times a day, caring for single or multiple pet households during 15-30-or 60 minute visits, including feedings, medication admins, bringing in mail and packages and papers, filling bird feeders, turning lights on & off and closing blinds & curtains as needed, and other tasks,
etc.
- DAILY DOG WALKERS will need to be available for recurring daily and weekly visits, ranging from 15-30-60 minute visits for walks/hikes/playtime, homework training.
- Be available to transport pets to and from the vets, groomers, day care and training, dog parks too.
- Equine and chicken experience a plus but not required.
REQUIREMENTS:
1- Able and willing to represent HHW as the Premier Pet Care Standard on the Shoreline at all times.
2- Be local to the community or communities being serviced within a 5-15 mile radius with exception during staff vacation and holiday coverage and last minute emergency pet care requests.
3- LOVE TO CARE FOR PETS Large & small, Furry, Feathery and Scaly & some in water (Koi).
4- Physically able & willing to walk small & large dogs for 30 to 60 minutes or on long hikes in rain, snow, heat and cold year-round.
5- Own a reliable economical vehicle with a valid license, registration, and insurance and willing and available to transport pets to and from vets, day care, etc.
6- Be able to work independently, take action if needed, and follow detailed directions; communicate proficiently and in a timely and professional manner
7- Have a smartphone and be minimally tech savvy
8- Present a professional, but casual, appearance and disposition at all times.
9- Able to adjust to changing schedules to accommodate last minute requests.
10- Be Pet First Aid & CPR certified or willing to take a course.
11- Be willing and able to commit to work at least 1 year, so our clients and their pets can establish a long term relationship with you.
12- Must be a minimum of 22 years old.
13- Able to pass a criminal background check and be bondable.
