Position Summary
Provide high quality rape crisis center advocacy services to survivors of sexual violence in hospitals and through the 24 / 7 hotline managed by H&H and H&H. Job responsibilities include utilizing a trauma-informed approach when responding to survivors, co-survivors, and community members via hospital accompaniment, as well as phone and web-based chat lines. Collect and disseminate client information and data for the H&H and H&H services.
Job Description
Required Education, Experience and Qualifications
- Four-year degree in communication, public relations, women’s studies, social work, criminal justice, psychology, or related field strongly preferred or relevant experience in working with survivors of trauma.
- Victim advocacy training and / or experience preferred.
- Maintain valid Ohio driver’s license and ability to meet agency requirements for driving insurability.
- Must be able to meet agency requirements for criminal background check (Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigations and Federal Bureau of Investigations)
