What are the responsibilities and job description for the Facility Maintenance and Grounds Manager position at Hope and Life Outreach?
Summary: The Facility Maintenance and Grounds Manager will plan, organize, and supervise all functions of HALO facilities, including, the areas of safety, maintenance, grounds, custodial, operations, transportation, energy conservation, sustainability, and long-term facility planning
Key responsibilities include but not limited to:
- Preventative maintenance: Regularly inspecting and servicing building systems like HVAC units, plumbing fixtures, electrical panels, fire safety equipment, and other mechanical systems to identify potential problems before they occur.
- Repair work: Skilled in a variety of minor repair and maintenance tasks, such as plumbing, electrical, painting and carpentry Comfortable with relevant technology.
- Building inspections: Conducting routine inspections of facilities to identify maintenance needs, safety hazards, and potential damage.
- Work order management: Receiving, prioritizing, and completing work orders through a facility management system, documenting repairs and associated details.
- Contracting coordination: Managing and coordinating with outside contractors for complex repairs or specialized maintenance tasks.
- Basic cleaning and upkeep: Performing general cleaning tasks like sweeping floors, removing trash, wiping down surfaces, and maintaining common areas.
- Emergency response: Responding to urgent maintenance issues outside of regular working hours, such as power outages, water leaks, or security system malfunctions.
- Documentation and reporting: Maintaining detailed records of maintenance activities, including parts used, repair details, and work completion dates.
Skills and qualifications:
- Technical skills: Proficiency in basic plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and HVAC maintenance tasks.
- Problem-solving abilities: Diagnosing equipment issues, identifying root causes, and finding effective solutions.
- Hand tools and equipment knowledge: Familiarity with a range of tools and equipment used for maintenance tasks.
- Physical ability: Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds, climb ladders, and work in confined spaces
- Communication skills: Clear communication with building occupants, management, and outside contractors
General Responsibilities:

- Attend training and meetings as assigned

SPIRITUAL QUALIFICATIONS:
- Demonstrate moral and ethical adherence to Biblical teachings and express a desire to minister to the poor, needy, and homeless
- Knowledge of and ability to apply Biblical principles to real-life issues
- Be actively involved and attend a Bible-teaching church of your choice
- Be in agreement with and adhere to HALO's Mission Statement, Core Values, and Statement of Faith

Pay: $43,680.00 - $45,760.00 per year
