Job Description
Title: Community Engagement Coordinator
Reports To: Executive Director
FLSA Status: Part-Time, Non-Exempt, up to 25 hours per week
Effective: January 2025
Pay Range: $20-25/hour

Summary
The Community Engagement Coordinator (CEC) handles all aspects of communications including social media, direct mail, other print materials such as the annual report, event materials, email newsletters, and the website. The CEC shares coordination of event logistics, development of sponsorship/auction partnerships, and identification of other means of community visibility or support (such as business-established fundraising or promotional opportunities) with the Executive Director (ED). The CEC handles several aspects of the volunteer program including recruitment, onboarding and placement.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
· Communications:
o Manages social media strategy, calendar, and posts.
o Develops all print, website, and email materials, including graphic design components.
o Reviews performance of all campaigns to refine and elevate strategy.
· Fundraising:
o Generates and maintains business partnerships.
o Responsible for identifying and generating new partners for sponsorships, auction donations, etc.
o Subject matter expert on donor database (Kindful); responsible for training relevant staff and volunteers, recording and acknowledging donations, and generating reporting. Utilizes and updates Kindful to support different fundraising campaigns.
o Attend speaking engagements to represent Hope House Northern Colorado as assigned
· Events:
o Partners with the ED to coordinate all aspects of special events including logistics, partnerships with vendors, program agenda, promotion, and volunteers.
o Creates all communication materials for events.
· Volunteers:
o Identifies and utilizes new potential avenues for recruiting volunteers.
o Maintains the volunteer application on Kindful and background checks in Sterling.
o Utilizes Signup Genius to enable volunteers to sign up for volunteer opportunities.
o Responsible for developing volunteer processes including volunteer onboarding and orientation.
· Other:
o Other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
· Attention to detail
· Accurate data entry.
· Effective communications skills, positive outlook. Experience with graphic design, Canva, Mailchimp, and WordPress preferred.
· Technical acumen, willingness, and ability to learn donor and financial software. Quickbooks experience strongly preferred.
· Effective time management skills.
· Fundraising experience a plus
· The willingness and ability to maintain strict confidence of information.
· Flexibility and willingness to learn and grow in a start-up environment.
