Essential Duties
· Manages the overall financial, site operations, and human resources operations of the organization, including, but not limited to: ensuring that continuing contractual obligations are being fulfilled; allocating resources for greater program effectiveness and efficiency; developing policies and program objectives for Board consideration.
· Provides effective leadership of administrative staff; develops and implements short and long-range fiscal plans and policies for the benefit of the organization and its clients.
· Promotes HOPE, Inc. as the premier peer support organization to the behavioral health community and prospective funding sources.
· Liaison with other organizations, RBHA, Health homes, Health Plans Healthcare and various foundations and centers within the behavioral health community; coordinates business activities with those of other agencies for mutual benefit.
· Represents HOPE, Inc. in its business relationships with government agencies, community organizations, suppliers, competitors, professional organizations and similar groups.
· Ensure compliance with and support of Board directives, agency contracts and established policies and procedures.
· Protects the organization’s legal interests and maintains its operations within the law; retains and works with outside counsel to obtain opinions or to handle claims and litigation.
· Developing and executing long-term operational plans aligned with company strategy.
· Identify opportunities, anticipate challenges, and develop effective strategies to achieve business goals. Understanding financial statements and managing budgets to optimize profitability.
· Budgeting, financial planning, and analysis to ensure that resources are allocated effectively.
· Oversees the human resources function to ensure optimum staffing and utilization of competent staff, recommending policy changes to benefits, compensation, employment, training and other areas as appropriate.
· Ensures that programs and operations conform to the policies of the Board of Directors, contracts, accreditation, and licensure.
· Responsible for the measurement and effectiveness of all processes internal and external. Provides timely, accurate, and complete reports on the operating condition of the company.
· Responsible for risk management in the organization, including Identifying potential risks and developing mitigation strategies in all areas of oversight.
· In collaboration with the CFO, develop, direct and administer all financial plans, auditing quarterly and adapting the plan based on financial information.
· Support and advise the CEO in decision making
Requirements
(Required) Peer - Individuals must have first- hand knowledge of a behavioral health condition or substance abuse issue, whether or not they received treatment or medication or identify as a family member of someone in recovery. Preference will be given to candidates who identify as a peer.
- Bachelor’s Degree and related work experience required.
- Requires a minimum of 5 years experience in a leadership role in a public health setting.
- MPH, MHA, MPA or similar education preferred.
· Must be at least 21 years of age per licensing requirements.
· Strong management, leadership and organizational skills
· Effective oral and written communications skills
· Ability to plan and implement organization-wide activities (developing strategies, budgeting, developing policies and procedures, and organizing the functions necessary to accomplish the activities)
· Skills in staffing effectively; selecting, training and developing employees; directing employees toward desired objectives; delegating, motivating, resolving problems; and controlling the functions (developing performance standards, measuring results, taking corrective action and rewarding employees as appropriate)
· Knowledge of the principles and techniques of budgeting, financial planning, grant administration, contract administration and negotiation, medical billing administration, human resource administration
· Financial literacy enabling management of budget of up to $1 million annually
· Ability to translate mission and vision into actionable plans and initiatives.
· Strong emotional intelligence, including the ability to understand and manage their emotions, and the emotions of others on their team.
· Effectively navigate complex situations, build strong relationships, and foster a positive work environment.
Salary : $90,000 - $110,000
