Occupational Therapist CFA at Hope Network Behavioral Health
The Occupational Therapist at Hope Network provides clinical evaluations, consultations, and rehabilitation programming for individuals, particularly at the Center for Autism. Responsibilities include assessing individual needs, maintaining treatment records, supervising staff, and developing treatment plans aimed at enhancing daily living skills. The role requires adherence to professional standards and active collaboration with an interdisciplinary team to ensure person-centered care and community integration.
Main Responsibilities:
- Providing clinical consultations, evaluations, and rehabilitation programming for individuals at the Center for Autism.
- Services may include preliminary screening of individual needs for OT intervention, ADL and clinical evaluation and treatment, maintaining accurate data and treatment records accounting for treatment activities, and participation of departmental maintenance and program development.
- Consulting with center staff to assure comprehensive delivery of recommended services to individuals.
Standards and Requirements:
- Adherence to established standards determined by the Nation Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy, Inc. in all areas of individual intervention.
- Valid Michigan licensure.
Training and Supervision:
- Training assigned staff in carrying out individual treatment plans.
- Scheduling and supervising assigned staff.
Key Functions:
- Sensory Processing evaluation and assessment.
- Designing and monitoring subsequent treatment.
- Participating in staff education and training as needed.
Promoting Community Integration:
- Maintaining accurate records of treatment through data collection and treatment reports as assigned.
- Participating in individual goal development, coordination of services, discharge planning and family education as needed.
Interdisciplinary Collaboration:
- Attending and verbally presenting at team meetings, clinical reviews, staff meetings and in-services.
- Ordering individual specific treatment supplies and equipment.
Professional Standards:
- FOLLOWING ESTABLISHED POLICIES AND PROCEDURES TO ENSURE SAFETY OF STAFF AND INDIVIDUALS.
- Providing supervision for Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants, and/or OT students as required.
Requirements:
- Two years of professional work experience in a clinical setting preferred.
- Valid driver's license required according to Hope Network policy.
