**Job Summary**
The Occupational Therapist at Hope Network Behavioral Health provides clinical consultations, evaluations, and rehabilitation programming for individuals with autism.
This role involves collaboration with interdisciplinary teams to deliver personalized treatment plans and promote community integration.
As a key associate, the Occupational Therapist is responsible for:
- Providing clinical consultations, evaluations, and rehabilitation programming for individuals at the Center for Autism.
- Preliminary screening of individual needs for OT intervention, ADL and clinical evaluation and treatment.
- Maintaining accurate data and treatment records accounting for treatment activities.
- Participation in departmental maintenance and program development.
The Occupational Therapist consults with center staff to ensure comprehensive delivery of recommended services to individuals and adheres to established standards determined by the Nation Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy, Inc. in all areas of individual intervention.
Additionally, they train, schedule, and supervise assigned staff in carrying out individual treatment plans, including:
- Sensory Processing evaluation, performing the ADL, IADL, and/or other appropriate clinical assessments.
- Designing and monitoring subsequent treatment.
The Occupational Therapist promotes community integration and monitors individual progress through data collection and treatment reports.
They participate in individual goal development, coordination of services, discharge planning, and family education as needed.
The Occupational Therapist attends team meetings, clinical reviews, staff meetings, and in-services, and orders individual-specific treatment supplies and equipment.
They follow established policies and procedures to ensure the safety of staff and individuals.
Responsibilities also include providing supervision for Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants and/or OT students as required.
A minimum of two years of professional work experience in a clinical setting is preferred.
A valid driver's license is required according to Hope Network policy.
Requirements:
- Degree in Occupational Therapy or related field.
- Valid Michigan licensure.
- Nation Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy, Inc. certification.
