Job Description:
RN/LPN Needed for School Setting
8:15am-3:30pm, Monday to Friday in Chepatchet
Competitive Rates and Experience with Ventilation, Trach, and G-tube
Responsibilities:
- Ensure the overall health and safety of the client
- Comply with rules and regulations related to duties, license, contract, and programmatic rules
- Assist Registered Nurse in carrying out plan of care
- Recognize and understand effects of social and economic problems on clients
- Provide emotional and physical comfort and safety of clients
- Teach clients and families self-care techniques as needed
- Foster cooperative effort among personnel
- Participate in in-service programs
- Advocate for clients needing community services
- Maintain clinical and progress notes
- Report client symptoms, reactions, and changes to appropriate personnel
- Coordinate services with family, physicians, hospitals, and other disciplines
Qualifications:
- Active, unrestricted Licensed Practical Nurse license in Rhode Island
- Experience in Home and Community Based Services preferred
- Pediatric experience preferred
- Significant clinical skills and experience
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Professional demeanor and appearance
- Reliable transportation
