What are the responsibilities and job description for the Outreach Advocate position at Hope's Safe Haven?
- Works closely with other Outreach team members and the Outreach Coordinator to maintain community relationships in and around our service area.
- Participates in outreach events in surrounding counties, monthly county meetings, and occasional presentations to other organizaations.
- Provides regular case management services to outreach clients
- Collaborates with the Shelter Advocates to facilitate the ongoing case management of transitioning clients.
- Accompanies victim to court proceedings related to; orders of protection, child custody, divorce or criminal proceedings involving the abuser.
- Assists victims in filing for emergency orders of protection, as well as adult and child full orders of protection.
- Regularly updates victims in regards to court proceedings involving their orders of protection.
- Provides the following advocacy services; safety planning, hotline response, crisis intervention, hospital advocacy and court advocacy.
- Actively complies with victim service standards and approaches as outlined by PCHOH/HSH and the Missouri Coalition for Domestic and Sexual Violence (MCADSV).
- Other duties as assigned.
