Position Purpose and Summary
The Human Resources Manager is primarily responsible for ensuring the accuracy and prudence of responsiveness by the HR Team in all aspects of Human Resources including employee inquiries and relations, incident and complaint investigations, managing HRIS and personnel records, employee training and development, policy interpretation, performance and behavior concerns, conflict resolution, and compliance with all applicable state and federal laws, including wage and hour matters, leaves and absence matters, benefits administration, compliance matters, and workers compensation administration.
The Human Resources Manager is charged with diligence, best practices, objective governance and decision making. Additionally, the Human Resources Manager is responsible for maintaining theoretical human resources knowledge for practical and diligent application to real-work matters. The Human Resource Manager is responsible to ensure the Company’s compliance with all applicable State and Federal laws; and the Company’s impartial fairness in all decisions and actions. The Human Resource Manager is responsible for responsiveness, workplace leadership, clear and appropriate communication, as well as ensuring that all matters handled by human resources meet all industry and professional standards.
Secondarily, the Human Resources Manager supports the work of the Talent Pipeline, Risk, and general Employee Services by offering assistance, support, guidance, and oversight to HR Specialists, as it is needed. The Human Resources Manager works closely with the Company’s designated managers as well as the entire Human Resources team. Working on a cross-functional team and under the guidance of the HR Director, the Human Resources Manager contributes to improving the department’s KPI’s, reduces risk, and ensures the company’s compliance and limited liability in personnel related matters.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
Reviews performance and behavior matters with objective and thorough review; provides guidance and recommendations to Company Management in relation to performance and behavior; and ensures that documentation and corrective action are legal, appropriate, and effective.
Leads investigations into complaints and concerns with diligence, objectivity, and resolve.
Coordinates with Managers across the organization to effectively minimize the Company’s risk, and improve employee relations.
Reviews the work of other Human Resources staff to ensure it is legal, compliant, and appropriate for the nature of the matter and considerate of Company values.
Observes all policies, processes, and procedures of the Department and the Organization at all times
Ensures that the work of the Human Resources team is compliant and diligent to uphold standards, reduce risk, produce best outcomes via feedback, guidance, and oversight as it is requested or directed.
Administrative and clerical duties as needed to support the position and HR department.
Visits Hope the Mission work sites to liaison best practices training and tools to site managers; acts as an approachable contact to all site staff; and positively represents the agency.

Qualifications
Human Resources Certification, Degree, or equivalent Required
Minimum 3 years of experience as an HR professional in a large employer environment
Familiarity with ADP Workforce strongly desired
Demonstrated 3 years of experience in HR Generalist work
Bi-lingual (English / Spanish) strongly preferred

Must be able to travel and work from various Company worksites (other than HQ) from time to time, up to 20%
