Hope United is hiring a full-time certified peer recovery supporter for Tyler's Redemption Place, a Recovery Community Organization (RCO) in Akron. Tyler's Redemption Place aims to give those in recovery continued support, a safe place of fellowship, and an environment to offer holistic healing of the mind, body, and spirit in a community setting.
We are seeking a motivated individual in recovery from a substance use disorder with their Ohio Peer Recovery Support Certification. Candidates should possess strong communication skills, the ability to multitask, excellent listening skills, the ability to connect well with others, ambition and creativity to build programming/activities and resources, a desire to lead group meetings, a flexible work schedule, leadership qualities, and willingness to do all tasks needed. Due to the nature of our work at the RCO, the peer recovery supporter will additionally help with various administrative duties, communicating with our recovery community and supporters, and promoting the recovery programming through multiple channels - so we are looking for an individual who is detail-oriented, highly organized, and possesses excellent computer skills.
The anticipated work schedule for this position is tentatively Tues-Fri 12pm - 8pm and Saturdays 8:30am - 4:30pm.

Expected hours: 40 per week
Schedule:
