Position Summary:
The Front Desk Assistant is the first point of contact for members, guests, and visitors at Hope Valley Country Club. This role is responsible for providing exceptional customer service, managing front desk operations, and ensuring a welcoming and professional environment. The ideal candidate is friendly, organized, and capable of handling multiple tasks while maintaining a high standard of service in a private club setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Member & Guest Services:
- Greet members and guests warmly, providing a friendly and professional first impression.
- Respond to member inquiries in person, via phone, and email promptly and courteously.
- Assist members with reservations for dining, events, tee times, and other club activities.
- Front Desk Operations:
- Manage the front desk area, ensuring it is tidy, organized, and presentable at all times.
- Answer, screen, and direct incoming calls professionally, taking messages when necessary.
- Monitor and manage access to the club, ensuring security protocols are followed.
- Administrative Support:
- Maintain accurate records of member information, reservations, and daily activity logs.
- Assist with event coordination, including RSVPs, guest lists, and communication with relevant departments.
- Communication & Coordination:
- Liaise with club departments (food & beverage, golf, etc.) to ensure seamless member experiences.
- Distribute club communications, newsletters, and announcements to members as directed.
- Stay informed about all club activities, services, and events to provide accurate information to members.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in customer service, hospitality, or a front desk role preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and familiarity with reservation or club management software is a plus.
- Professional appearance and demeanor, with a focus on providing exceptional service.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
