Hopewell Animal Hospital is a privately owned, AAHA accredited, Low-Stress Handling, Cat Friendly Certified Practice striving to provide high quality medicine and surgery in a low stress atmosphere. We recently expanded with our Center for Traditional Chinese Veterinary Medicine and Rehabilitation Therapy along with onsite grooming. We are located in the beautiful Hudson Valley. Our goal is to treat every client and patient as the whole and unique individual that she or he is. We use traditional and complementary methods, as well as appropriate referrals to provide the ultimate integrated veterinary care.
Veterinary Assistant
We are seeking a hard-working, energetic, personable, enthusiastic, eager to learn and compassionate Veterinary Assistant to join our team!
Qualifications:
- 1 year Veterinary Experience (Preferred)
Major Duties:
- Assist technicians and DVM's in office visits
- Obtaining patient histories
- Patient restraints
- Filling prescriptions
- Performing laboratory work and assisting with diagnostic imagin
- Observe animal behavior or health conditions and reporting to veterinarian
- Assist with answering phone calls and client call backs
- Compassionate and attentive to clients and patients
- Ability to remain calm during stressful situations
