- Collects and analyzes Hopkins Public Schools financial and statistical data and information; performs work within scope of authority and training; duties may vary according to job assignment.
- Assures that the Hopkins Public Schools business processes supported by the Oracle Fusion system are updated, revised and rewritten to reflect changes in district, state and Federal requirements.
- Works on a Production Support Team (PST) to identify and prioritize issues in Oracle Fusion and to determine the corrections necessary to resolve these issues.
- Works on a super user group which is an extension of the PST group, but a more focused group which takes the identified issues and makes the necessary corrections within the system.
- Provides Oracle Fusion administrative and technical support, answers user questions on access, security, and processes.
- Assists with training for Hopkins Public Schools staff on Oracle Fusion data management issues.
- Maintains all aspects of security and confidentiality of records and information held within systems.
- Plans, prioritizes, assigns, supervises, and reviews the work of assigned staff directly or through supervisors.
- Contributes to the overall quality of the department's service provision by developing and coordinating work teams and by reviewing, recommending, and implementing improved policies and procedures.
- Directs the conduct of and conducts analytical and technical studies; develops and reviews reports of findings, alternatives, and recommendations; directs the maintenance of accurate records and files.
- Provides support and assistance to the Director of Business Services and other System Leaders in the strategic management and decision-making process related to the Oracle Fusion’s process and systems improvement.
- Ensures the department processes incorporates appropriate internal controls.
- Serves as key member of the Fiscal Management team to develop/improve consistent procedures and focus on pertinent business and accounting issues.
- Ensures the Finance Department procedures follow state and Federal rules and regulations, and Hopkins Public Schools policies and procedures.
- Promotes and supports the overall mission of the district by demonstrating courteous and cooperative behavior when interacting with public and staff; acts in a manner that promotes a harmonious and effective workplace environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration or a closely related field.
- Eight (8) years of professional experience managing financial and operations system applications including Oracle Enterprise products.
- OR an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
- Driver’s license.
- Certification in Oracle Financials or Highly Proficient in Oracle ERP/EPM.
- Project Management Certification is Preferred.
- Thorough understanding of financial operations systems and experience with Oracle Fusion Systems.
- Government Accounting Standards Board (GASB), standards, recommended practices, rules and regulatory reporting requirements.
- Specialized district and state agency accounting software applications, including ERP and State of Minnesota Uniform Financial Accounting and Reporting Standards (UFARS).
- Intermediate proficiency with a strong emphasis on Microsoft Excel.
- Adherence to tight deadlines and quick turnaround for deliverables.
- Ability to think critically and strategically and to collaborate effectively with staff across the organization.
- Principles and practices for providing customer and personal services.
- Administrative principles and practices, including Microsoft office suite.
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from management, vendors, and associates.

SUMMARY:
Under general supervision, maintains Hopkins Public Schools business master data in Oracle Fusion Enterprise Resource Planning, Budgeting and Human Capital system, and provides technical assistance to users; collects and analyzes financial and statistical data and information; maintains system configurations, trains end users, and integrates Oracle Fusion with other departments.
