Position Summary
The Human Resource Coordinator is a key member of the HR team, responsible for managing day-to-day operations of the Human Resources department. This role includes recruitment, onboarding/offboarding, HRIS maintenance, payroll, benefits administration, and compliance with federal, state, and local laws. The ideal candidate will help promote a positive company culture and enhance employee engagement.
Key Responsibilities
Policy & Program Support:
- Assist in updating policies that align with company culture and vision.
- Collaborate with the CHRO to evaluate and implement employee benefits and incentives.
Recruitment:
- Partner with department managers to identify required skills and competencies for job openings.
- Coordinate job postings and maintain an organized application process.
HR Compliance & Administration:
- Stay updated on best practices, employment laws, and regulatory changes.
- Maintain accurate and confidential HR records (e.g., new hire paperwork, I-9s, tax forms).
- Monitor and implement changes in required documentation for state and federal compliance.
Employee Relations:
- Support managers in addressing sensitive situations such as accommodations, investigations, or workplace conflicts.
- Ensure leadership provides employees with effective and timely support.
Vendor Collaboration:
- Establish and maintain relationships with external service providers.
Other Duties:
- Support additional HR-related tasks and projects as assigned.
Qualifications
Required Skills & Knowledge
- Strong understanding of benefits and compensation practices.
- Proficiency with HRIS systems and Google Suite tools.
- Familiarity with state and federal employment laws or willingness to learn.
