What are the responsibilities and job description for the EIDBI Behavior Technician Level I/ Level One position at Horizon Bridge Behaviorial Therapy?
Horizon Bridge is seeking passionate EIDBI providers to work with our team of behavior therapists, to ensure quality therapy for the clients and families that we serve. EIDBI providers will provide one-on-one therapy with our clients, assisting with parent trainings, and collect data related to individual behavior plans. This is a clinical skill building & behavior modification program for children on the autism spectrum, using evidence-based practices of Applied Behavioral Analysis.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Document all services provided in the person’s case notes and/or health care plan as specified in EIDBI – Health service records
- Participate in developing and modifying the person’s ITP
- Participate in monitoring the person’s progress on targeted goals and objectives and treatment outcomes (including data collection)
- Participate in the person’s coordinated care conference as determined by the QSP and requested by the parent/primary caregiver
- Provide family/caregiver training and counseling as determined by the QSP and identified in the person’s ITP
- Provide intervention observation and direction to lower-level providers as determined by the QSP and identified in the person’s ITP
- Provide intervention services as determined necessary in the comprehensive multi-disciplinary evaluation (CMDE) and identified in the person’s ITP, with fidelity to the treatment method or modality necessary to promote progress on targeted goals and objectives
- Receive required clinical supervision and intervention observation and direction as identified in the person’s ITP.
- Promote skill development of children in day treatment as indicated by the daily program schedule. Individual children and/or groups will be assigned daily.
- Assist the children in using age-appropriate self-management skills; including communication, self-regulation, self-help skills, motor skills, and cognitive development, play, and relationship skills.
- Communicate effectively with the multi-disciplinary team, the child, and the child's family.
- Record observations on individual clients related to treatment goals as assigned for assessment purposes.
- Assist with classroom set-up at the beginning of the day and at the end of the program day.
- Set-up materials and toys for individual skill work and groups as they occur throughout the program day.
- Assist with daily self-help skills, such as diapering, toileting, washing hands, eating, etc.
Qualifications
- Proficient in applied behavior analysis and patient care techniques
- Strong understanding of medical documentation and terminology
- Experience in behavioral therapy, particularly with children and individuals with developmental disabilities
- Excellent communication and patient observation skills
- Ability to develop and implement care plans and conduct patient assessments
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and maintaining medical records
- Holds a bachelor's degree in one of the behavioral sciences or related fields from an accredited college or university and has at least 2,000 hours of supervised experience in the delivery of mental health services to clients with mental illness. (Example: Bachelor's in Behavioral Science 1 year of full-time experience)
- Has at least 4,000 hours of supervised experience in the delivery of mental health services to clients with mental illness. (Example: 2 years of full-time experience)
- Is a graduate student in one of the mental health professional disciplines and is formally assigned by an accredited college or university to an agency or facility for clinical training.
- Holds a masters or other graduate degree in one of the mental health professional disciplines from an accredited college or university.
