As an AR Claims Specialist at Horizon, you will…
- Review suspense for payers and prebilling items as assigned
- Submit timely claims for all services via HIPAA5010 transaction files or paper claims as required
- Maintain claims edit log for assigned payers, including site addresses
- Track and ensure plan acceptance of claims for adjudication, including audit and correction of claim errors and rejections
- Complete void and corrected claims as needed, working in tandem with AR Specialist
- Communicate changes in Patient Insurance coverage & demographics as needed
- Complete Unsupported services workflow daily and review Cliff report for assigned payers
- Maintain current knowledge of assigned payer processes
- Participate in Cohort and other Team meetings

- Bachelor's preferred
- Associates required with 2 years of experience in Health Insurance
- Experience in payment application and entry
- Experience with Microsoft Suite
- Strong analytical and customer service skills
- Ability to work in team environment
- Ability to provide close attention to detail

Hours:
Full-time, flexible daytime hours, Monday – Friday
Compensation
Horizon is consistently evaluating our compensation and benefit packages to ensure we remain competitive. This position starts at an hourly rate of $19.95-$20.95. Compensation adjustments are evaluated annually.
Physical demands associated with this position include:
- Sitting for extended periods, alternating between standing and sitting
- Mobility required with repetitive wrist, hand, and finger movements
- Handling light duties, occasionally lifting objects up to 20 pounds
