• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and develop treatment plans that identify patients’ needs and strengths
• Provide individual and group counseling
• Participate in weekly one-on-ones with your manager, as well as team meetings to discuss cases
• Coordinate and collaborate with other service providers and family members
• Maintain patient records consistent with regulatory requirements and quality assurance standards
• Perform other duties as defined by the Program Director

What has prepared you for this opportunity?

In addition to all of the all-nighters and cramming for exams…

• CASAC or CASAC-T (Credentialed Alcohol and Substance Abuse Counselor)  

OR

• Master’s degree in a program that will grant licensure in the state of New York

Location:

Conveniently located on Elm Street in downtown Buffalo, Terrace House is a 68-bed facility offering stabilization and medically supervised detox treatment. We provide twenty-four-hour care to adults who need support, counseling, observation, nursing, and medical care to achieve initial stabilization from drug and/or alcohol withdrawal.

Hours:

This position is full-time, Sunday - Thursday with the following schedule: Sunday & Thursday: 8:00am - 4:00pm, Monday: 12:00pm - 8:00pm, Tuesday & Wednesday: 10:00am - 6:00pm.

Compensation:

Horizon is consistently evaluating our compensation and benefit packages to ensure we remain competitive. The range of pay for this position is $50,960 - $62,296. Starting pay may be impacted based on experience and education. There is also a 15% pay differential for weekend hours worked. Compensation adjustments are evaluated annually.

Physical demands associated with this position include:

• Sitting for extended periods, alternating between standing and sitting
• Mobility required between worksites and within facilities
• Mobility required with repetitive wrist, hand, and finger movements
• Handling light duties, occasionally lifting objects up to 20 pounds
