Role Summary:

The Cranberry Marsh Worker is responsible for general labor functions for cranberry marshes. This employee will perform manual work associated with the planting, cultivating, crop protection, irrigation, and harvesting of cranberries. The employee will also perform general care and upkeep of the marsh facilities, properties, and equipment, as needed.

Core Responsibilities:

• Provide timely farming operations including irrigation and frost watch with frequent oversight from the Marsh Manager.
• Operation and daily maintenance of farming equipment used on the property with frequent oversight from the Marsh Manager.
• Assisting other employees in performing their duties efficiently and effectively. Promptly reporting problems or successes, and any other reports required by Marsh Manager.
• Following company safety policies and procedures.
• Performing duties as assigned daily by the Marsh Manager.
• All other duties as assigned.

Preferred Experience:

• Previous experience in farming and equipment operation is preferred.
• Experience in basic farm equipment maintenance is very helpful.
• Must be able to work well with management and communicate well with others.
• Qualified Applicators License is helpful.

Work Schedule:

The Cranberry Marsh Workers work schedule is highly dependent on the time of year and weather conditions. During Harvest, employees will be expected to work as needed, which will require a great deal of flexibility as to the hours per day/week and the times worked.

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to walk long distances
• Frequent standing, walking, bending, twisting, and kneeling
• Must be willing to work outdoors, in all weather conditions
• Lift up to 75 lbs. occasionally, and 25 lbs., regularly.
• Requires the ability to clearly understand verbal and written communication from others in person and by telephone.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:

• Must be a minimum of 18 years old.
• Valid drivers license and be insurable with the companys commercial carrier.
• Detail oriented & goal driven.
