AMERICORPS POSITION DESCRIPTION
General Statement of Duties:
Horizon Education Centers have partnered with AmeriCorps to provide Childhood Obesity prevention programming in the cities of Berea, Cleveland, Elyria, Lakewood, Lorain, and North Olmsted, Ohio.
Direct Supervisor: Community Engagement Coordinator
General Service Schedule: M-F, 12:00pm-5 pm. Some flexibility available.
Program-specific duties include:
· Implement nutrition and fitness activities for preschool and school age children.
· Connect families to community resources that address health and nutrition needs.
· Provide health and nutrition information to families.
Minimum Qualifications/Skill Requirements
· High School Diploma or GED
· U.S. citizen, natural, or lawful permanent resident age 18 or older
· Some college, in education, social work, sociology, family and community studies, preferred
