Job Description:
We are seeking a motivated and compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our dynamic team in the busy Endoscopy Suite. The LPN will provide direct patient care, assist with endoscopic procedures, and ensure a safe and efficient environment for patients undergoing diagnostic and therapeutic procedures. The successful candidate will work closely with physicians, registered nurses (RNs), and other healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality care.
Key Responsibilities:
-Intake patients
- Assist in the preparation and positioning of patients for endoscopic/colonoscopy procedures.
- Monitor patients' vital signs and conditions before, during, and after procedures.
- Start IV's
- Participate in patient recovery by monitoring for complications and providing post-procedure care, including managing sedation or anesthesia-related issues.
- Document patient information, procedure details, and other relevant data accurately and timely in electronic medical records.
- Provide compassionate and effective communication to patients and their families to alleviate concerns and ensure comfort.
Requirements:
- Current and Active New York LPN license
- Minimum 1 year experience in endoscopy suite or surgical setting
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) required
- Knowledge of medical terminology and anatomy.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to maintain a calm and professional demeanor in a fast-paced environment.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $25.00 - $29.00 per hour
