Qualifications
The Quality Assurance Specialist is responsible for assisting with quality and compliance activities throughout the agency and promoting education and training related to quality and compliance. The position is responsible for completing Quality of Care investigations. In addition, the position will participate in the implementation and monitoring of performance improvement activities.
Qualifications Required
- Bachelor’s degree in related field preferred or combination education and experience
- Minimum 2 years’ experience healthcare working Quality & Compliance
- Ability to travel throughout state, various programs
- Awareness and sensitivity to the cultural setting of Horizon Health and Wellness service area
- Effective interpersonal skills
- Demonstrates knowledge of participant rights and advocacy
- Must demonstrate excellent computer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
- Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with other management staff, employees, and the general public
- Demonstrated initiative and problem-solving skills; critical-thinking skills
- Ability to prioritize; strong organizational and project management skills
- Strong keyboarding skills
- Must demonstrate strong electronic health record navigation skills
- Must obtain and maintain fingerprint clearance and pass a background clearance
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- Possess valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record

Qualifications Preferred
