Summary
As the Grants and Donor Relations Director at Horizon Health, Inc., you will play a pivotal role in advancing our mission by identifying and developing sources of funding opportunities to support current and future services of Horizon Health, Inc., by means of developing, writing, and submitting grant proposals and developing fundraising strategies to increase contributions from existing donors and building the portfolio of prospective donors.
Responsibilities
- Identify new private, foundation, corporate, and government funding opportunities that match the needs of the organization
- Exhibits a leadership style that reflects a creative, professional teamwork attitude
- Generate grant applications with highly effective proposals, narratives and supporting documentation in compliance with the funding agencies’ requirements
- Ability to communicate Horizon Health’s mission and service goals to the community and prospective donors
- Assist with coordination of fundraising events as needed
- Primary responsibility for maintenance of grant schedules, reporting and auditing requirements
- Meet regularly with Horizon Health’s department leaders to gain and understanding of the highest priority of needs to be met of the organization and continuous communication for reporting documentation
- Organized follow-ups on the progress of submitted proposals and requests
- Develop and maintain donor database, including donation tracking
- Develop and maintain a master file of grants, to include pending proposals and awarded contracts
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Grant writing experience
- Experience with securing new funding opportunities
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- High level or organization and attention to detail
- Adept with data-driven decision-making
- Goal-driven personality
