Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Maintenance Person to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of facilities through effective maintenance practices. This role requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. The Maintenance Person will perform various tasks related to facilities maintenance, including repairs, inspections, and preventive measures to maintain a safe and efficient environment.
Responsibilities
- Conduct routine inspections and maintenance of facilities to ensure optimal functionality.
- Perform welding tasks as needed for repairs or fabrication projects.
- Utilize Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) to track maintenance activities and work orders.
- Fabricate components or structures as required for facility improvements or repairs.
- Interpret schematics and blueprints to execute maintenance tasks accurately.
- Supervise maintenance staff and coordinate activities to ensure timely completion of projects.
- Provide excellent customer service by responding promptly to maintenance requests from staff or residents.
- Use an Ohmmeter and other tools for electrical testing and troubleshooting.
- Carry out residential painting tasks as part of facility upkeep.
Skills
- Proficient in facilities maintenance with hands-on experience in various repair techniques.
- Strong welding skills with the ability to fabricate parts as necessary.
- Familiarity with CMMS software for tracking maintenance schedules and records.
- Ability to read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical documents.
- Experience in supervising teams or coordinating projects effectively.
- Excellent customer service skills with a focus on communication and responsiveness.
- Knowledge of electrical testing equipment, including Ohmmeters, for troubleshooting purposes.
- Basic skills in residential painting techniques.
