Overview
Horizon Psychiatry is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Mental Health Technician/Coordinator to join our team. This newly created position will offer the opportunity to provide patient care with a breakthrough treatment modality for the treatment of depression. We are seeking an individual who will be trained to administer in-office therapeutic treatments under the direction of our treating provider. This individual’s primary responsibility will be to administer and manage the specific clinical services, interact regularly with patient and complete additional office administrative tasks when time provides. We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Mental Health Technician to join our team.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the implementation of individualized treatment plans for clients receiving transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS) treatments.
- Act as a liaison between patient and care team to carry out patient treatment plan.
- Monitor and document client behavior during treatment in electronic health record (EHR).
- Utilize EHR & treatment software proficiently to record demographic and insurance information.
- Complete insurance benefit eligibility and prior authorizations for TMS treatments. Communicate benefit information clearly and effectively with patients.
- Ability to establish positive rapport with patients while providing knowledge on TMS procedures.
- Ability to monitor and schedule patients for ongoing treatments.
- Act courteously and tactfully in dealing with patients, visitors, and team.
- Maintain a comfortable, safe and clean environment at all times.
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations to protect client confidentiality.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Knowledge of medical terminology and ability to understand mental health diagnoses.
- 2 years of direct patient experience in mental health setting (preferred).
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective interaction with clients and team members.
- Experience with operating a medical/mechanical device (preferred).
- Experience with EHR systems and microsoft office.
- Ability to maintain professionalism while providing empathetic support to clients.

Hours for this position: Monday-Friday 8am-12pm
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20 per week
