This role will inspire and equip students in grades 6-8 with the scientific inquiry and STEM skills necessary for academic success through engaging, hands-on, and student-centered instruction. No more than 26 students in a class, and no more than 3 classes per day.STEM & PBL-Focused Approach Foster an engaging and structured learning environment where students explore science concepts through interdisciplinary STEM activities and Project-Based Learning (PBL).Supportive Leadership & Professional Growth Work alongside experienced educators with opportunities for development from regional instructional coaches and 12 days of professional development each year.Your Role & ResponsibilitiesDesign and deliver engaging science instruction aligned with state standards.Foster a love for scientific exploration through hands-on experiments, inquiry-based learning, and real-world applications.Utilize data to differentiate instruction and meet the diverse needs of learners.Facilitate the school science fair, guiding students through the scientific process and project development.Collaborate with fellow educators to implement best practices and interdisciplinary STEM connections.Provide timely and meaningful feedback to support student growth in scientific understanding and critical thinking.Integrate STEM concepts and project-based learning strategies into science instruction.Build strong partnerships with families through regular communication and engagement.Maintain a safe, organized, and supportive classroom environment that encourages curiosity, innovation, and academic achievement.What Were Looking ForA bachelors degree in Education, Science, or a related field.A valid Ohio teaching certificate/license (or in the process of obtaining one).Experience teaching middle school science preferred.A passion for science, student growth, and interdisciplinary learning.A strong work ethic and commitment to student success.The ability to use data to guide instruction and differentiate learning.Compensation & Benefits: Salary starts at $48,000 and aligns with years of experience, licensure, and degrees.Professional development opportunities and ongoing instructional support.A collaborative and innovative school culture that values educator growth and student achievement.Join us in shaping the future of science education at Noble Academy Columbus!
