Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Direct Support Professional to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential support and care to individuals with varying needs, ensuring their well-being and enhancing their quality of life. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in caregiving, social work, or related fields, and possess the ability to engage positively with clients in a supportive environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, meal preparation, and medication management.
• Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance the social well-being of clients.
• Implement individualized care plans tailored to each client's specific needs and preferences.
• Support clients in participating in recreational activities and community engagement.
• Maintain accurate documentation of client progress and any changes in behavior or condition.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals, family members, and other caregivers to ensure comprehensive care.
• Assist with heavy lifting as needed for mobility support or during transfers.
• Uphold a safe and clean environment for clients at all times.

Experience

• Previous experience in caregiving, home health, working with developmentally disabled preferred.
• Familiarity with group home settings is a plus.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with clients and their families.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting tasks safely and effectively.
• A background check is required for this position
