Cost Accountant / Senior Cost Analyst – Austin, MN

RESPONSIBILITIES :
This position will be held by an individual with a strong degree of knowledge, understanding, and experience regarding the accounting, purchasing, operations, sales, and marketing functions and processes within the Hormel organization. This position will be focused on inventory processes, policies, and reporting.
- Coordinates, implements, trains, and recommends inventory control policies (SOX and Operational)
- Administers corporate inventory controls, including cycle counting accuracy reviews, compliance, and risk assessments.
- Manages item discontinuation process.
- Completes full absorption and lower of cost or net realizable value calculations.
- Completes monthly, weekly, and quarterly inventory reporting and accounting duties.
- Provide oversight and assistance to accounting related functionality performed by directly managed and indirectly managed staff.
- Serves as the finance liaison for sub-ledger mechanical inventory systems (EAM, POP)
- Key contact for inventory processes for internal and external audits.
QUALIFICATIONS :
Level of position offered (Cost Accountant or Senior Cost Analyst) will be determined based on candidates experience and skill set.

At Hormel Foods, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. The base hiring pay range for this role is between $80,800-$128,400 per year , and your actual base pay within that range will depend upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, job-related knowledge, skill set, level of experience, and geographic market location.
