What are the responsibilities and job description for the Sanitation 3rd shift position at Hormel Foods?
Job Responsibilities :
Incumbents are responsible for various roles and duties within the Sanitation Department such as cleaning after Production is done running.
They will also be responsible for operating forklifts, boxing and stacking product, verifying quality and accuracy of products, all while making people safety and food safety the number one priority.
A typical work week consists of an 8 hour shift, Monday-Saturday. Please note, the company may require seniority based overtime work
Working Conditions :
- Follow all company rules for food safety and employee safety.
- The work environment may include : cold, wet, and / or hot conditions.
- The willingness & ability to drive a forklift consistent with company standards.
- The ability to use a computer to complete job related tasks.
- The ability to perform repetitive hand & wrist motion throughout a shift.
- The ability to lift / push / pull 50 lbs as required throughout the course of a shift.
- The ability to twist and bend the body as necessary to perform job related tasks.
- The ability to perform grasping & pinching motions to complete job related tasks.

Wages
Starting pay is $23.73 per hour and the Beloit Plant has 7 different paygrades.

C Rate : $24.03
D Rate : $24.18
E Rate : $24.53
J Rate : $26.28
