Job Summary: The Horn Lake Chamber of Commerce is seeking a dynamic and passionate Executive Director to lead and manage the Chamber’s operations. The Executive Director will be responsible for overseeing the Chamber’s strategic direction, membership engagement, community relations, and staff management. The ideal candidate will be an experienced leader with a strong commitment to promoting local businesses and fostering the growth of the Horn Lake community.
Key Responsibilities:
•
Develop and implement strategies to increase membership and support the local business community.
•
Manage day-to-day operations of the Chamber, including budgeting, staffing, and event planning.
•
Serve as the primary spokesperson for the Chamber and represent its interests in the community.
•
Foster relationships with local businesses, government officials, and other stakeholders.
•
Plan and execute Chamber events, including networking opportunities, community outreach, and business development programs.
•
Lead, direct and develop Chamber’s fund-raising strategies.
•
Ensure effective communication with Chamber members, the board of directors, and the public.
•
Promote a working environment of excellence, external and internal collaboration and professional standards for the organization.
•
Prepare financial reports for the board of directors and ensure compliance with all financial and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications:
•
Minimum of 5-10 years of experience in a leadership or management role.
•
College degree in Business Administration, Nonprofit Management, or a related field (preferred), or equivalent experience in a management or leadership role.
•
Experience in nonprofit or community-focused organizations is a plus.
•
Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
•
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
•
Knowledge of the Horn Lake area and its business community is a plus.
