Hiring a full time Human Resources Assistant.
Hiring a full time assistant in the Human Resources department. Position is Monday through Friday, 36 hours/week, daytime hours. Professionalism, confidentiality, and approachability is essential.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assists in the day-to-day flow of operations in Human Resources
• Receives applications and forwards to department directors. Coordinates/schedules interviews. May participate in interviews upon request.
• Completes applicant paperwork to include references, DCI, OIG EPLS checks, welcome letters, insurance offer letters and other new employment paperwork. Creates/maintains employee files. Follows up with employees for missing items.
• Assists with new employee orientation to include paperwork, benefit information and onboarding
• Enrolls and terminates employees in benefit plans, works with the HR Accountant to reconcile benefit invoices and sends payroll deduction requests
• Handles all leave of absence requests and processing including General Medical Leave, FMLA, and disability. Receives absence reports from Directors and logs as appropriate
• Assists in compliance reporting including ACA, EEOC, and audits
• Acts as mentor and support system to all hospital staff.
• Professionalism, confidentiality and approachability is an essential function of this position.
Qualifications:
- Education: Must be a high school graduate or equivalent.
Experience:
- Must have excellent computer and communication skills. Must be friendly and service orientated. Prefer background in human resources.
- Knowledge of Microsoft programs
- Knowledge of English, spelling, grammar, punctuation and arithmetic to compile reports, maintain records and perform various related clerical tasks.
- Able to organize and prioritize
