The Business Development Coordinator Supports the organization's efforts to expand and strengthen its presence in the public sector by assisting with business development, relationship management, and operational support.
Essential functions
- Collaborates with internal teams to support business development efforts, client engagement, and strategic initiatives.
- Assists in identifying and qualifying new business opportunities within the public sector.
- Conducts research on industry trends, competitors, funding sources, and government procurement opportunities.
- Prepares reports, presentations, and briefing materials to support strategic decision-making.
- Identifies innovative ways to improve the efficiency of business development processes.
- Helps track and manage key performance metrics related to public sector growth initiatives.
- Assists in outreach efforts, including attending industry events, coordinating meetings, and fostering relationships with potential clients.
- Maintains business development databases and internal knowledge repositories to enhance team efficiency.
- Supports compliance with relevant procurement guidelines and ensures adherence to company policies.

Experience and Education
- Performs work under direct Supervision
- Handles basic issues and problems independently, referring more complex issues to higher-level-staff.
- Possesses foundational to working knowledge of business development, public sector procurement, or market research.
- Typically requires a bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communication, Public Administration, or a related field.
- 0 to 2 years’ experience in business development, sales support, or a related field.
