What are the responsibilities and job description for the Aquatic Spray Technician position at Horner Environmental?
Horner Environmental Professionals, Inc., an environmental consulting firm in Wesley Chapel, Florida is seeking an entry level aquatic spray technician. This position is primarily field work. Primary tasks will include: maintaining ponds, lakes, mitigation areas, conservation areas and stormwater systems. Maintenance typically includes the control of nuisance/exotic plant species through the application of herbicides from an ATV. The position will also include assisting senior staff with a variety of environmental field tasks as necessary.
Qualifications/Requirements:
- Be able to work outdoors in Florida environments
- Have a FL Driver’s License and a clean driving record
- Be able to work independently or as part of a team
- Pesticide/Herbicide Applicators License with aquatics endorsement a plus
- Operate/maintain field equipment including boats, sprayers and vehicles.Job Type: Full-time
