The Aquatic Herbicide Applicator will perform outdoor field operations associated with the treatment and inspection of lakes, ponds, canals, wetlands, natural areas and various waterways to control invasive plants.

Work Duties:

The majority of the work is conducted in lakes, wetlands, canals and natural areas throughout central / West Florida. Application of herbicides is performed using spray boats, small all-terrain vehicles and backpack sprayers. Work also includes the identification and selective physical removal / treatment of nuisance and invasive plant species in lakes, preserves and wetlands. Knowledge of water quality, native fish and wildlife, and other lake or natural area restoration work is a plus. Work will involve the use of 4-wheel drive trucks, 4-wheel drive utility vehicles and transport of machinery and small boats, and ability to carry heavy loads (over 50 lbs) while traversing uneven terrain.

Associated Skills:

A Commercial Applicators License issued by the State of Florida is required to be obtained within 90-days of employment (fees and job training are provided by company ).

At least 1 year experience is preferred.

Must be in good physical condition and be willing to work outdoors.

Have the ability to complete service reports for each job properly and deliver to customer and/ or Management. Participate in daily inspection and maintenance of truck, equipment and safety equipment for himself/herself and project teammates

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $15.00 - $21.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
