We’re looking for a Digital Strategy Associate to join Hornets Sports & Entertainment (HSE) to assist in the execution of paid social campaigns, build social media reports, and assist in digital partnership strategy.
You will use creative problem solving and paid social acumen to execute campaigns that accomplish organizational and partner goals. You will also provide data and reporting to inform decision-making on a variety of social media campaigns.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the Partnerships department to develop, implement, track, and optimize campaigns that align with partner goals while adhering to best practices and the Hornets' overarching social media strategy.
- Provide strategic recommendations to Partnerships, Marketing, Ticketing, Corporate Social Responsibility, Game Presentation, and Arena Marketing teams regarding social media platforms, creative execution, campaign duration, budget allocation, timing, and audience targeting for both organic and paid social campaigns.
- Develop and optimize paid social campaigns, including audience targeting, retargeting strategies, ad creative, and copywriting.
- Ensure branded content aligns with and enhances all Hornets Sports & Entertainment (HSE) initiatives by working cross-functionally with internal departments.
- Download, organize, and distribute leads generated from lead generation campaigns.
- Utilize native analytics and Sprout Social to generate and analyze social media performance reports.
- Establish and manage budget and bidding strategies for paid social media campaigns.
- Conduct A/B testing on audience segments, creative assets, and ad copy to determine the most effective campaign combinations.
- Process expense reports related to paid social media spending.
- Prepare and manage paid social invoices for arena marketing initiatives.
Required Skills, Experience and Abilities
- 1-3 years of experience in managing both paid and organic social media campaigns.
- Strong understanding of paid social strategy and execution across platforms including Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Twitter, Snapchat, YouTube, TikTok, and Google PPC.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and analytical skills with the ability to adapt strategies based on performance insights.
- Experience in content ideation, planning, and execution to drive engagement and brand visibility.
- Proficiency in Facebook Business Manager and Ads Manager, including tools, integrations, and campaign management.
- Up-to-date knowledge of paid social marketing trends, platform algorithms, and industry best practices.
- Proven experience managing and executing high-budget paid social media campaigns across multiple channels.
- Deep understanding of social media analytics with the ability to interpret data and optimize performance.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in campaign execution and reporting.
- Proactive approach with a strong desire to learn, grow, and stay ahead in the evolving social media landscape.
