We are seeking skilled and dedicated Compliance Manager to provide day to day support and operation of the Compliance Program. Supervised by the Vice President of Compliance ("VPC"), the Compliance Manager will provide guidance team members throughout the organization to identify compliance issues, answer questions/concerns, and effectively mitigate compliance risks. The Compliance Manager will partner with the VPC to create and implement policies and procedures for our licensed facilities. The Compliance Manager’s role is critical to maintaining transparency in the company while promoting a culture of compliance throughout the organization. The Compliance Manager will have constant exposure to confidential and/or sensitive information requiring high level of discretion, considerable use of professional decorum and judgment.
Location: Mendota Heights, MN
Schedule: This is a full-time, salaried, exempt role. The schedule to will be Monday-Friday during business hours but may be expected to work outside of these hours, if needed. Exact schedules will be determined during the interview process and may include weekends.
Job Duties Include, But Are Not Limited To:
- Develop and update compliance policies and procedures to align with applicable laws and industry standards.
- Ensure effective communication and training on compliance policies across the organization.
- Stay updated of changes in laws and regulations affecting the organization's operations.
- Monitor regulatory developments and assess their impact on the business.
- Design and implement strategies to ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
- Conduct regular risk assessments to identify potential compliance risks.
- Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies and action plans.
- Plan and execute regular internal audits to assess compliance with policies and regulations.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of existing compliance programs.
- Conduct internal investigation under direction and supervision of Chief Human Resources Officer.
- Prepare and submit timely and accurate compliance reports to executive management and regulatory bodies.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of compliance activities and initiatives.
- Monitor and analyze key compliance metrics, identifying areas for improvement.
- Evaluate potential mergers, acquisitions, and partnerships, providing recommendations to the executive team.
Education/Licensure/Certification/Experience Requirements
1. Minimum of a BA/BS. Master’s Degree in the Social Sciences (i.e., Counseling Psychology, Clinical Psychology, Clinical Social Work, or Marriage and Family Therapy) is strongly preferred.
2. Currently Licensed or License Eligible as Mental Health Professional or is on track to obtain licensure is strongly preferred.
3. Minimum of Two Years of Experience in Healthcare Compliance Sector.
4. Strong Knowledge and Understanding of Treating Co-Occurring Disorders (CODs)
5. Ability to pass a Department of Human Services background check.
6. Must have strong professional, interpersonal skills to confidently manage confidential information.
7. Excellent Interpersonal, Public Speaking Skills, and organizational skills.
8. Experience Working with Governing Bodies
9. Ability to work collaboratively
10. Ethical awareness and commitment to company and patient confidentiality.
11. Willingness to learn and adapt to changing company needs and approaches.
12. Certified Healthcare Compliance (CHC) strongly preferred.
13. Excellent Process Improvement Skills Using Recognized Industry Methods (e.g., Lean Six Sigma) strongly preferred.
