Description:
We are looking for a Marketing Event Coordinator to join our Marketing team in Cottage Grove, Minnesota. Our marketing division primarily serves as support for the sales team. In this role, you will focus on promoting new technologies. Your responsibilities will include organizing events that support the sales team, conducting product demonstrations, and helping expand into new markets.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate event schedules, timelines, and budgets and ensure that all necessary resources are available for those events.
- Arrange transportation, accommodation, and catering (including all necessary permits) and ensure all branding and marketing materials are ready for travel.
- Assemble and disassemble event/show setups, load and unload equipment, and oversee setup and breakdown of events/shows.
- Ensure a smooth guest experience and troubleshoot any issues that arise during the event or show.
- Handle invoices and vendor payments
- Gather feedback, report on event success, and organize follow-up communications
- Help create and update product brochures, presentations, and other marketing material.
- Assist in the execution of marketing campaigns, ensuring all materials and communications are distributed on time.
- Gather and organize data on market trends, customer feedback, and competitor activities to support marketing strategies.
- Respond to inquiries from the sales team and customers regarding product information and marketing materials.
- Collaborate closely with product development, sales, and customer service teams to ensure alignment and cohesion in marketing initiatives
- Brainstorm and develop ideas for creative marketing campaigns.
- Play an active role in becoming an influential brand and voice in the industry.
- Other duties as assigned.
Position Requirements:
- Degree in Marketing, Business, Agricultural Engineering or related discipline preferred
- Ability to work independently and accept direction on assigned tasks.
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
- Excellent organizational skills
- Detail-oriented
- Computer skills, including the ability to use communication and organization software such as Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Email on a laptop and smart phone
- Self-starter with the ability to work both individually and in a team environment
- Valid driver’s license
- Ability to travel up to 40% of the time based on seasonal demand
- Experience in utilizing a tractor with implements is preferred
- Experience in farming practices, agronomy, and/or agricultural equipment is preferred
Physical Demands/Work Environment:
- Individuals may need to sit, walk, or stand for extended periods.
- The position may require reaching above shoulder heights, below the waist, or lifting up to 50 pounds. Proper lifting techniques are required.
- The performance of this position will require exposure to manufacturing areas where the use of personal protective equipment, such as safety glasses with side shields, is required.
